Liberia is located in the western part of Africa and touches its border with Cote d'Ivoire in east, Sierra Leone in west and Guinea in north. It owns 590 breeds of birds and approximately 125 species of mammals including various endangered breeds like White-necked Rock fowl, Guinea fowl, White-breasted , Liberian Mongoose, Gola Malimbe, Drill and African Golden Cat. Apart from them the park has plenty of sunbirds, rollers, kingfishers, hornbills, egrets, bee-eaters, leopards, crocodiles and endangered Diana Monkey.
